This was exactly what I needed to understand the science, health benefits and natural recipes of Kombucha. This was a quick read, well written and packed with succinct, get to the point information. Kombucha changed my health for the better. I wanted to find a white paper or book that I could use with friends and family that describes this wonderful recipe. “All about Kombucha” fits the need. I highly recommend if you want to completely understand Kombucha.

This is an excellent beginner’s guide. I make my Kmombucha a tad different. I brew loose tea in a pan, about 2 quarts water and 1/2cup loose tea. I let it steep about 30 minutes. In another pan I boil water and make my sugar syrup. (I am not into measuring) approx a quart of water and 3 cups sugar. Once everything is cool I add it to my Kombucha jar, which is a 3 gallon glass container I purchased at Wal-Mart for less than $10. The mother always lives there. I wash it out maybe every 4-5 batches. Once the tea and sugar syrup is in the jar, I fill the jar up with water, stash it on top of the frig then wait. I usually jar it up on day 7 and start anew. I am ready to branch into new flavors and was wondering how to do the ginger, so this guide was helpful. Would have liked more info about that, but this IS a beginner’s guide. It is still very good. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of doing a “home brew” . I drink a lot of bucha and it is all the author claims.
